Journalists from the USA TODAY NETWORK flew and drove the entire length of the U.S.-Mexico border in search for answers. This is what they found. More: https://www.usatoday.com/border-wall/…
The Mexico–United States barrier (Spanish: barrera México–Estados Unidos) is a series of walls and fences along the Mexico–United States border aimed at preventing illegal crossings from Mexico into the United States. The barrier is not one contiguous structure, but a grouping of relatively short physical walls, secured in between with a “virtual fence” which includes a system of sensors and cameras monitored by the United States Border Patrol. As of January 2009, U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported that it had more than 580 miles (930 km) of barriers in place. The total length of the continental border is 1,954 miles (3,145 km).

Ever think to yourself, why is it these rich people who live in houses with walls around their property are saying we do not need a southern wall. if walls are not needed I think we need to say to them tear down your own walls first and then we can talk

If the US stopped giving welfare $$$ to any person that is illegally in the country…the money saved would pay for a large chunk of the all, if not all of it. Also, the federal government should tax all money transfers from the US to South of the border. The largest amount of money earning for the Mexican economy, is the US dollar that is sent back to help support families there. Illegals, many are paid under the table, there fore do not pay income tax….this tax on all money transfer could help pay for the wall as well….
